Clinical Educator : 0.6 FTE
Location: Based at Red Beach, work across three sites and externally
Harbour Hospice is the only specialist, palliative care provider for families living in the Hibiscus Coast, North Shore and Warkworth / Wellsford communities. We provide compassionate, free care working primarily with patients, families and carers in their homes, and also within our three hospice sites. Our bespoke services include medical care, spiritual support, physiotherapy, social activities and more, with an emphasis on helping people live every moment in whatever way is important to them.
The role:
As Education roles go then this role is the bee’s knees, the framework is there and we’re looking for someone to embrace this opportunity, make it their own and run with it. You’ll be the clinical face of our Harbour Hospice Education Team and be a real champion for the delivery of quality education across Hospice and our external customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling, promoting and running workshops & coaching sessions
- Facilitating internal and external education programmes
- Supporting our Clinical staff across Harbour Hospice
- Promotion of Hospice to Tertiary institutions and the education & training services we offer to external health providers
About you:
Central to this role is facilitation so needless to say you’ll be a real people person, you’ll love engaging with people, creating and maintaining relationships with people, you’ll have the ability and enthusiasm to get people on board and positively engaged when it comes to education. Ideally, you've worked within Adult education and be looking for your next challenge, You’ll be a Registered Nurse with a current APC and ideally previous experience within Palliative Care, Gerontology or other Chronic Illness settings.
