As a Registered Nurse in the IPU, you’ll work in the multidisciplinary team and take pride in delivering holistic palliative care to tūroro (patients), families and whānau. You’ll provide symptom and pain management, and respite and end-of-life care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses and at different stages of their disease trajectory.
We are keen to hear from nurses who want to work 0.8 FTE / 4 shifts or more, per week.

- A genuine interest in and desire to further develop in palliative care
- Commitment to achieving PDRP Level 3 within 12 months of employment

Every day we care for close to 400 people across the North Shore, Hibiscus Coast and Warkworth/Wellsford regions, supporting them at home, in one of our two inpatient units, or in community programmes offered at each of our three sites.
Our bespoke services given free of charge, include medical care, spiritual, psychological and social support, physio, occupational and complementary therapy, social activities and more.
What’s in it for you?
We’re looking for nurses who display flexibility and adaptability. In return you’ll get:
- In-depth and tailored onboarding to suit your individual level of experience and expertise
- Ongoing development opportunities including paid study leave
- A collaborative and high trust culture
- A competitive hourly rate and relevant allowances. Higher hourly rates based on achieving current PDRP
You’ll be an important part of a well-established, supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team who share a passion for making every moment count for the people we care for at Hospice. Best of all, you’ll join an organisation that places aroha and manaakitanga at the core of everything that we do. Our culture enables and encourages our staff to give their very best.
