About the mahi
There’s a lot going on for our Harbour Hospice Communications team. In response to the need for more resource, we have created this new role of Graphic Designer, to take direction from and provide support to our design lead. Working with robust brand guidelines, you’ll work on a wide variety of projects and help to create designs and artwork for digital, print and social. You’ll work collaboratively as part of the Communications team and across Harbour Hospice, getting involved in producing marketing resources, print and digital advertising material, social media assets, internal resources and more.
This is a permanent part time position working 2 days a week from Harbour Hospice in Red Beach. We do offer a hybrid working model once you are fully ensconced in the role.
About you | Mōhou ake
You are a Graphic Designer with particularly high standards. Attention to detail is an absolute must as you will be joining a team who are renowned for producing high quality work. As an intermediate level designer, you will demonstrate:
- Mac based and proficient in Creative Cloud Suite - InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Solid digital, social and print artwork experience
- Strong understanding of design fundamentals
- Knowledge of both digital and print production processes
It is important to us that we find a designer who shares our team’s deep passion for what we do and is comfortable receiving direction, but happy to contribute ideas too. You will strive always to deliver your best work, but you also know how to have fun while doing it.

Harbour Hospice is one of the largest hospices in Aotearoa and has been caring for tūroro (patients) and their family and whānau for 40 years. Every day we care for close to 400 people across the North Shore, Hibiscus Coast and Warkworth/Wellsford regions, supporting them at home, in one of our two inpatient units, or in community programmes offered at each of our three sites.
Our bespoke services given free of charge, include medical care, spiritual, psychological and social support, physio, occupational and complementary therapy, social activities and more.
