Harbour Hospice is the only specialist, palliative care provider for families living in the Hibiscus Coast, North Shore and Warkworth / Wellsford communities.
We provide compassionate, free care working primarily with patients, families and carers in their homes, and also within our three hospice sites. Our bespoke services include medical care, spiritual support, physiotherapy, social activities and more, with an emphasis on helping people live every moment in whatever way is important to them.
In 2018 our hospice sites in the North Shore, Hibiscus Coast and Warkworth/Wellsford areas were brought together under the Harbour Hospice brand.
By combining these three areas we are better able to meet the needs of our growing population, and continue to improve, share skills, expertise and extend the services we provide.
“The whole aim of coming together as Harbour Hospice is to direct more resources into our clinical services now and provide for our future communities”.

There are so many different aspects about Harbour Hospice to love. Aside from the patient-focused, multi-disciplinary team approach, which is awesome, it’s the patients, their families and my colleagues I love the most. It is such a pleasure and privilege to be invited into patient’s homes to be able to provide holistic care. Working at Harbour Hospice can be emotionally intense at times but it’s also interesting and fun!
"I had the best day today! It was so inspirational and I loved being able to meet other services and learn about what they do for their volunteers! Was also great to meet the team that I will be working with"
We all offer kind words, welcome and sympathetic listening to donors who often have stories to tell. We also offer support, growth opportunities and company to the people volunteering . All these are carried out under the umbrella of respect and value for the individual, as is all Hospice work.
The people are amazing, everyone genuinely cares for one another and is passionate about making a difference to people’s lives. I enjoy the autonomy I am given in my role, this allows me to utilize my strengths and also gives me an opportunity to further develop my skills and experience
Harbour Hospice completely cares for its patients/families and staff. It is both the warmth and appreciation of the work that is done by our community and Harbour Hospice itself that I find personally rewarding and which drew me back to work for them on this second occasion. I can’t think of a better organisation to work for.
Let’s recruit together and find your next colleague.
