We welcome applications from all backgrounds who share our values of aroha (compassionate), tautikanga (professional), and mō te katoa (inclusive).
Your role as Assistant Retail Manager will give you a strong sense of purpose as you help connect the community with the care hospice provides. You’ll contribute to raising a third of Harbour Hospice’s annual funding needs. You’ll enjoy an extremely busy and varied day and be able to inject your personality into all you do. You’ll work with volunteers who freely give their time and energy, which will make for some very special and unique relationships. Best of all, you’ll join an organisation where your work matters.
Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Assistant Retail Manager role in our Hospice shop in Whangaparaoa is not for the faint hearted! It's physical, it’s busy, and it’s full on. But you’re not on you own as you'll have the support of your manager and a wonderful team of fantastic volunteers to help you.
As Assistant Retail Manager, you'll support the Manager with the overall running of the shop and ensure a fantastic customer experience for donors, customers and volunteers alike. You'll get involved in everything that's required in running a successful pre-loved fashion and homewares store. From sorting to merchandising, to delegating, completing timesheets and cashing up, and ensuring the volunteers are having a break and a cuppa.
This is a permanent role working 2 days (14 hours) a week on Friday and Saturday.
