Mō te tūnga | About the role
As Fundraising Administrator you’ll work closely with the Senior Database Administrator to ensure timely and accurate record keeping. Working collaboratively with your Fundraising team and the Communications team, you’ll support events, campaigns and community activity that raise funds for the important service Harbour Hospice provides. Your day will be varied and include tasks such as:
- Maintaining donor and supporter records in the Raiser’s Edge database.
- Processing fundraising income in the database and reconciling with bank account and internal finance systems.
- Ensuring timely acknowledgement of donations and liaising with fundraisers to coordinate supporter care.
- Assisting with data reports and lists to support fundraising communications and activities.
- Supporting the regular givers, newsletter, appeals and activities to link and connect the community with Harbour Hospice.
This position is based at Hibiscus Hospice in Red Beach, 3 days a week. We can be flexible as to how the hours are structured across the week. You will be expected to attend fundraising events from time to time, and these can fall outside of standard work hours.

You have solid administration experience ideally from a non-profit setting, coupled with a focussed work ethic and a collaborative and flexible approach. You will also have:
- Sound experience in data administration. Any CRM experience is beneficial.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills especially Word and Excel
- Attention to detail coupled with excellent time management and organisational skills
- Flexibility to attend events that may fall outside of standard working hours
- A valid, clean full driver’s license

Every day we care for close to 400 people across the North Shore, Hibiscus Coast and Warkworth/Wellsford regions, supporting them at home, in one of our two inpatient units, or in community programmes offered at each of our three sites. Our specialist services, given free of charge, include medical care, spiritual, cultural, psychological and social support, physiotherapy, occupational and complementary therapy, social activities and more.
