Mō te tūnga | About the role
You’ll provide a high-quality professional reception service for Hospice. You will work closely with our clinical administration team, stepping in to support the clinical administration role in times of leave and with workload. You’ll manage a team of volunteers who assist reception, ensuring their skills are fully utilised during their shifts. You’ll also take on Building Warden duties and be first point of contact for health and safety and maintenance queries.
This is a full-time permanent position working 8 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
He kōrero mōu| About you
With experience in a similar reception and administration role, you’ll be someone who loves interacting with people and enjoys a varied workday. You’ll have a professional approach, be able to assist people in a respectful and sensitive manner and have great attention to detail. Experience managing staff is not essential, but you will be comfortable working with volunteers, managing their workload, ensuring they are engaged and busy and rostering.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – that friendly, smiling face
- Experience and knowledge working with MS Office and the ability to learn new systems
- Genuine interest in health and safety and facilities maintenance
- Flexibility and ability to manage multiple demands and activities
- Cultural awareness in dealing with people from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities
